Payment Schedule

Our payment schedule is as follows:

  • 50% of total tour cost is due 60 days before tour start
  • 50% of total tour cost is due 30 days before tour start

Payment Options

Payment in US Dollars can be made by check made out to “History for the People LLC” or Venmo to the account listed on the invoice. Payment in Euros can be made by bank transfer; please contact us for details. Payments by credit card are subject to a 3.5% convenience fee.

Cancellation Policy

Payment for the tour contributes to the overall cost of research, proposal development, equipment, running costs, staffing, and administration. As Stories Abroad Tours will have incurred most of these costs before the tour starts, we need to impose cancellation charges to cover these costs.

If you cancel your booking, any balance can be applied to a future tour, less the following cancellation charges:

  • 31+ days or more prior to departure—10% of tour cost
  • 30–16 days before departure—30% of tour cost
  • 15–8 days before departure—50% of tour cost
  • 7 or fewer days before departure—100% of tour cost

All cancellations must be in writing via email. Please send an email to your contact at Stories Abroad Tours, with a copy to arielle@storiesabroadtours.com.

Once the tour has started, no refund for any unused portion or part of the tour or services to be provided will be given. If you want to make any changes to the tour, or depart the tour early, such alteration or departure will be entirely at your own expense and liability. You will also need to communicate in writing to the tour operator your reason for leaving the tour.
