How to Overthrow a Dictator Walking Tour

Walk The Carnation Revolution
Come take a walking tour of Lisbon led by Paul himself! This is one of Paul’s favorite tours of Lisbon, and he’s giving it to you at cost! Lucky you.
From our website: On the 25th of April, 1974 the Portuguese people threw off their shackles. With what became known as the “Carnation Revolution,” they flooded the streets and overthrew the oldest fascist dictatorship in Europe. At the time, they did not know what would happen, but they had had enough of nightmarish oppression at home and colonial wars abroad.
Now, over fifty years later, this day stands as the most important in modern Portuguese history. As fascism rears its ugly head across the world once more, it is important to learn about its previous iterations, and what led up to its downfall. Walk in the footsteps of the revolution on our Carnation Revolution History Tour.
