Day trip to Évora

Today, we’ll be going to one of Paul’s favorite local cities, Évora! We’ll be leading you on our Évora History Tour at cost.
From our website:
Évora has one of the most incredible collections of historical sites in all of Portugal. A Roman temple dedicated to a God-Emperor; a Cathedral built in the wake of a Crusader victory; and a Franciscan chapel made of human bones.
Évora is a must-see that is just off the beaten path. Join us for an adventure you won’t soon forget on our full-day Évora History tour!
When: 5/28/2025; meet at 8:45am sharp; returning by about 6:30pm.
Where to meet: Cais do Sodre train station. From there we’ll be taking the metro to Oriente train station, where we’ll catch our train to Évora.
Costs in Advance: Return tickets on the train to Évora cost 22€ if bought in advance; we can buy these for you if you let us know you’re coming in advance. (If purchased on the day they cost more like 40€).
Costs on the Day: Metro tickets cost 1,85€ each ride. Entry tickets to the Cathedral are 4€ and the Bone Chapel are 6€. We will be getting lunch (hopefully at our favorite restaurant there, but it depends on the number of people). Budget around 40€ for lunch.
Bring: Évora can get quite warm, so dress appropriately (and wear comfortable shoes). If you have a water bottle of choice, be sure to bring it (though there will be plenty of places to buy it there).
